On Sunday 15 March, 2009 at the Parco Turistico Culturale “Palmieri” in Martignano (LE), Antonio Castrignanò and the Gruppo Popolare completed the final (live) recordings for the soon to be released album "Canti al buio". The work is an exploration of the music and oral traditions of the Salentine Peninsular. On stage together with Antonio Castrignanò were Ninfa Giannuzzi (vocals and violin), Marco Della Gatta (keyboard), Attilio Turrisi (rhythm and classical guitar), Rocco Nigro (accordian), Gianluca Longo (mandolin), Giuseppe Spedicato (acoustic bass), Giulio Bianco (wind), Riccardo Laganà (tambourine).
